New Job
Today I started my new job. It was both really exciting, and really scary. I'm not one prone to trying new things, so this was really a stretch for me, but I think that it's going to be great. I'm in charge of running the children's program at a local dentist office. Today I got to get in there and actually clean the kids teeth, give xrays, identify cavities, bill patients, schedule patients, and basically get use to working in the office. It was kinda overwhelming, but I feel like I did a really good job. Heather, my cousin, works there and she was the one who trained me today. It was really nice having someone who I'm so comfortable with there to help me. It made it so that I was comfortable to ask questions, and make mistakes. I also went through my room and organized it how I want it, and cleaned out a lot of junk that the woman before me left in there. I got to order new birthday cards to send out to the kids, and start some new programs that haven't been used in a while like the good flossing chart. I also got to draw the winner of the toy of the month and pick out which toys we're gonna give out next month. It was over all a really fun day. I think that once I get use to using the equipment and the logistics of the job that I'm really going to enjoy it. All the kids seemed to like me too so that's always a good thing. And the people who I'll be working with are really really nice as well. I really feel like this is a God thing. I still have three days left at my old job, and I know saying goodbye on Friday is going to be hard, but I'm really glad that I took this next step. I think it's going to be really good for me and I'm excited to start this new chapter in my "career life".
